Carson City seeks wildlife board applicants

Carson City’s Board of Supervisors is seeking applicants interested in serving on the Advisory Board to Manage Wildlife.

The board, which manages wildlife in the capital, meets a variety of times and usually with the onset of fishing and hunting seasons. It is estimated the commitment could require up to six hours monthly.

Currently there is one open slot on the board for a term that will expire in July 2017. The board will interview applicants and appoint a qualified person. Applicants must be sportsmen or engaged in ranching or farming in the city-county area and registered to vote in the community. Members serve on a volunteer basis without compensation.

Anyone interested may contact City Hall, 201 N. Carson St., Suite 2. Applications will be accepted through June 20. Interviews are planned for July 3.
