The Carson City Marine Corps League Silver State Detachment 630 is hosting a celebration of the 239th birthday of the Marine Corps Monday at Westside Pour House.
The celebration begins at 4 p.m. with a traditional cake cutting ceremony following at 6:30.
The Marine Corps League encourages all military service members, military families, children and the general public to attend the event, which includes free food.
Westside Pour House, formerly Mo & Sluggo’s, is at the corner of Telegraph and Curry streets.
