Donations needed for Holiday with a Hero

Advanced Dentistry by Design is helping children in our community to have a brighter Christmas with the 10th annual Holiday with a Hero program.

This year, Holiday with a Hero has a goal to help 300 elementary school students, and they need your donations.

Advanced Dentistry by Design team members will be taking the students shopping along with first responders, members of the military, and other officials on Dec. 17.

“The children often buy necessities for their family members and not items for themselves,” said Sgt. Daniel Gonzales, who organizes the event with the Carson City Sheriff’s Office.

The children also will get to spend some time with Santa, who will be brought to Carson City on a medical helicopter, allowing the reindeer to rest up for the big night. Volunteers will be on hand to wrap the presents.

“It’s only possible because of the generosity of this community. Period,” Gonzales said.
