Frank Settelmeyer dies unexpectedly. Survivors include his widow, May, and three sons. He was born July 12, 1892. He purchased his ranch from Henry Marquat, his wife’s father, in 1919. The ranch was then operated by Mr. and Mrs. Settelmeyer and three sons under the name of Frank Settelmeyer and Sons. Inc.

A new type of email virus able to destroy information on computers is out. The virus has been nicknamed “Bubbleboy” after an episode of the TV show “Seinfield.”

Sue Ballew is the daughter of Bill Dolan, who wrote this column for the Nevada Appeal from 1947 until his death in 2006.
