Open burning permitted in Carson City starting Oct. 11

The Carson City Fire Department will allow open burning to dispose of accumulated weeds and yard debris Oct. 11-Nov. 9.

Burn permits with a valid permit number are required. Permits must be obtained at least 24 hours prior to conducting an open burn.

Permits are issued on a walk-in basis weekdays starting Monday at all Carson City fire stations — Station 51, 777 S. Stewart St., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ; Station 52, 2400 College Parkway, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Station 53, 4649 Snyder Ave., from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. — or online at www.carson.org under the Fire Department, Open Burning page.
