Plenty of Halloween activities are slated

Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada, 813 N. Carson St., is holding its annual trick-or-treating event at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center’s Spooktacular Stroll will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the north parking area at 1600 Medical Parkway. Besides trick-or-treating, the celebration offers a bounce house, booths, Care Flight helicopter and more.

Carson Mall’s annual Safe Trick-or Treat event will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday.

First Baptist Church, 1750 Mountain St., will host its Trunk ‘n Treat event from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Trick-or-treating will take place at downtown businesses from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday as part of Carson City Downtown Business Association’s Candy Crawl. A map of the event is available at www.ccdowntown.com.

Skyline Estates, 2861 N. Mountain St., is hosting its second annual safe trick-or-treating event from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday.

Gov. Brian Sandoval and first lady Kathleen will host the annual trick-or-treating at the Governor’s Mansion this Friday.

Beginning at 5 p.m., the first family will distribute candy, toothbrushes and books to children.

This year’s event will run through 8 p.m. with live entertainment for all ages. That includes the Controlled Burn Fire Dangers, Ms. Blanchett’s Irish Dancers, Crash Test Dummies, clowns, bike safety demonstrations and music by Fabrizio.

The mansion grounds are already heavily decorated for Halloween with gouls and gobblins, gravestones and other scary features.

The mansion is located at 606 Mountain St. in Carson City.
