Partnership Carson City is sponsoring Character Counts!, an initiative aimed at strengthening the character of Carson City residents using ethical values that are not politically, racially, or religiously based.
The values are trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.
Carson City Elks Lodge #2177 sponsored a Character Counts! poster contest at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Nevada, and cash prizes were awarded to youths who represented one of the six pillars.
