Sandstorm strike: An assay taken from a claimed owned by Oddie, Nixon, Ramsey and Wingfield gave results of over ten thousand dollars on the ton. The strike was also made 160 miles south of Goldfield near Pagrump [sic] in Death Valley whose samples assay over $1,000 a ton. People are coming by stages, wagons, horseback and on foot.
