Carson City Health Department’s food-service inspections for Dec. 23. All scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations:
Maverik, 1451 College Parkway, scored 93 points. Boxes of food and single service items were stored on the floor. Unpasteurized eggs were improperly stored. The basins of the three-compartment sink were not set up. Wet wiping clothes were found on food preparation surfaces, and sanitizer buckets were missing near food preparation areas, corrected on site. The interior of the ice machine needed to be cleaned. The floor sinks in the kitchen were dirty.
Arco ampm, 4340 N. Carson St., scored 99 points. Dispensing utensils for condiments were improperly stored, corrected on site.
FISH Family Dining, 138 E. Long St., scored 100 points.
Courtyard by Marriott, 3870 S. Carson ST., scored 95 points. Bottles of sanitizer spray were improperly stored, corrected on site.
Ming’s Restaurant, 2330 S. Carson St., scored 97 points. The ice scoop handle was in contact with customer ice, corrected on site. Sushi knives were improperly stored. Dirty napkins were being used to cover rust at the bottom of the reach-in at the drink station. Glasses inside the reach-in at the drink station were stored on rusty areas on metal shelving. A rice bin’s lid was cracked. Shelves were dirty. Smaller kitchen equipment were not commercially approved. The handles on the reach-in needed to be cleaned. Areas under the blade of the meat slicer were dirty.
