Sen. Wescoatt of Lincoln has introduced a little bill which we all have an interest. It provides for making divorce easy. One year’s cruel desertion is sufficient grounds. Under the existing law it requires two years desertion, uncomfortability of temperament and cold feet. Now, it is within the reach of all.

To Nevada goes the credit of being the first state to complete installment of its agricultural exhibit in the Palace of Agriculture at the exposition. The exhibit was collected under the direction of Charles S. Knight, dean of the department of agriculture at the University of Nevada.

The Boy Scouts of the Nevada area council are celebrating the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Boy Scouts of America. The real “big doings” will be Nevada Scout Day at the Capitol Feb. 9. Nevada is the only state in the country where Boy Scouts are allowed to assume all state governmental functions.

A measure introduced in the Assembly today would prevent “carpetbaggers” from running for federal positions in Nevada political elections. The legislation, which would amend the Constitution, says candidates must have lived in Nevada two years before running for U.S. Senate or the state’s lone seat in the House of Representatives.
