Flash flood warning issued until 4:45 for Carson City

A flash flood warning is in effect from noon to 9 p.m. today for Carson City the greater Lake Tahoe area and southern Lyon County.

At 1:45 p.m. a flash flood warning was issued for Carson City until 4:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service says strong thunderstorms are forecast to develop this afternoon. They could bring heavy rain and flash flooding. Much of the region, excluding Carson City, has recently had flash flooding with the amount of heavy rainfall the region has received.
