NV Energy offering MyAccount app to manage energy use

NV Energy is offering its customers a new mobile app that makes managing energy use and saving money more convenient.

Through the app, NV Energy customers can quickly access MyAccount to receive their current account summary, view energy usage information, sign up for energy alerts, or handle payments directly through their device. The app also makes it easy to get to NV Energy’s Outage Center, which provides details on an outage location, estimated time of restoration and outage cause. Customers can also report an outage through the Outage Center.

The app is also GPS-enabled and is going to allow customers to easily search for nearby payment locations and get directions automatically.

The application can be downloaded for free from the iTunes App Store and Google Play.

Fingerprint background check business opens in Carson City

Fingerprinting Express, a business founded in 2003 that specializes in fingerprint background checks, opened in Carson City at 1958 E. William St.

The new business offers a variety of services, including electronic livescan fingerprinting, criminal history background checks, notary services, secure document shredding, passport and employment licensing photo services.

Fingerprinting Express, which guarantees all of its fingerprint background checks, is only location utilizing a Federal Bureau of Investigation Channeling Agency in Northern Nevada providing expedited FBI background checks. Most notably, Fingerprinting Express is one of just a few businesses in the region offering livescan fingerprinting technology, widely considered the most accurate form of background checks available. Fingerprinting Express has the ability to send livescan fingerprints electronically to the State of Nevada and to the FBI and to provide its customers with hard fingerprint cards. Additionally, Fingerprinting Express is currently the only licensed company in Northern Nevada that provides fingerprinting for TSA “pre-check” screening out of its Reno location.
