An exciting day for aviation and aerospace adventure awaits young and old at the Carson City Airport, 2600 College Parkway. See historical military aircraft, flybys, and static displays. Build a robot, fly a drone or an F16 Simulator. Learn about flying with the EAA Young Eagles.
The Carson City Airport Open House & Fly-In is free and runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 20.
Aircraft will be displayed, and balloon rides and simulated space missions will be offered. Attendees can learn about aviation and explore the challenger Learning Center and build a robot or fly a drone. Paper airplane contests, radio controlled model aircraft and simulated machine gun shootings will be offered, along with introductory and scenic flights.
A pancake breakfast will be served at 7 a.m. Food and drinks will be available throughout the day. Children’s activities such as a bounce house and face painting will be available.
