Elks hold dinner in honor of veterans

The Tahoe/Douglas Elks Lodge 2670 celebrated Veterans Day with a barbecue dinner, which 57 veterans, representing all branches of service, from World War II, Korea, Vietnam and Iraq, attended. Douglas High School Tiger Squadron JROTC presented the colors of flags and served veterans and guests dinner.

The club also honored Chief Petty Officer Ted Henson as Elks Outstanding Veterans. Henson, a Vietnam War veteran, received a Service Award for his efforts to help veterans.
