Board the train or pick a number, Reno-area mattress shoppers have new options and new locations to stretch out at.
A new Sleep Number Store at the corner of Neil Road and South Virginia Street opened Oct. 24.
The store moved from its former location on Meadowood Mall Circle into the newly constructed building on the lot where Joe’s Diner was formerly located.
“As a company, we’re going for more non-mall locations,” said Rachel Robinson, manager for the new store.
The new store also provides more square footage and increased visibility.
Sleep Number beds have duo comfort controls so they can be adjusted to individual preferences for firmness and support.
Another mattress retailer, Sleep Train, opened four stores in Reno/Sparks, replacing its sister brand, Mattress Discounters.
“We’re excited to introduce Sleep Train to Reno shoppers, offering the same great sales people they’ve come to love with even better customer guarantees,” Gina Davis, vice president of marketing at Sleep Train, sleep said in a press release.
The Sleep Train stores offer customer services such as its Red Carpet next-day delivery and a 120-night Love Your Mattress money back guarantee.
The new Sleep Train stores are also drop-off locations for the company’s Foster Kids program, which works closely with local nonprofit partner organizations to help support foster children and parents. Donations of essential items such as clothing, shoes, pajamas, school supplies, and gifts can be dropped off at the five Reno-region Sleep Train stores.
In Reno, Sleep Train locations are located at 2000 Harvard Way; 6625 S Virginia St.; and 1151 Steamboat Pkwy. The Sparks store is at 4711 Galleria Parkway and the Carson City store is at 971 Topsy Lane.
