NV Energy names economic development manager
Jeff Brigger has been promoted to economic development manager for NV Energy’s Economic Development Department. Brigger will direct and manage the business, planning, development, implementation and marketing of statewide growth strategies and economic development programs for NV Energy.
As the former NV Energy Economic Development Executive, Brigger worked to attract new businesses and industries to Northern Nevada and was the company’s liaison to rural economic development agencies. Brigger served as the business development manager for the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada, where he recruited new businesses to the area and helped existing companies expand their business interests. He was previously with McKee Foods Corporation for 16 years, working in California, Oregon, Washington and finally Nevada as the district sales manager for Northern Nevada and Northeastern California.
Brigger holds a Master’s of Business Administration from Marylhurst University in Oregon. He sits on the Western Nevada College Foundation Board, the Northeastern Nevada Regional Development Authority Board and is an associate member of the Western Nevada Development District. He’s the former board chair of Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful.
In 2002 Brigger moved to Reno, where he has lived with his wife and three children.
