Trout. A Chinese man came into town with the largest specimen of a Lake Tahoe trout. It weighs more than 38 pounds and was purchased by Mr. James Levy of the Sazarac saloon. It can be seen there by the curious in piscatorial wonders.

Sells Brothers’ Great Big Railroad Shows. Arrangements have been made with Orphan Asylums to furnish children to those people who have none of their own and who visit the circus merely to oblige the children. Gentlemen will please use the cuspidors. Any person caught laughing at the clowns’ jokes will be compelled to listen to their repetition. All seats are cushioned in the natural color of the wood. The great act of Mlle. O’Flaherty, of sliding by the hair of her teeth from the highest point to the ground, is absolutely safe. Opera glasses with three lenses pointing in the direction of three rings are for rent at the candy stand, allowing you to see all three acts one at a time. By imbibing sufficient bourbon you can see nine.

Bonanza. Nevada Magazine will salute the “Bonanza” TV show by dedicating most of the April issue to it. It will feature a full-color portrait of Lorne Greene on its cover and 12 pages of photographs of modern-day Ponderosa scenery.

Youth of the year. The Boys and Girls Club named Mikel Schachten, a sophomore at Carson High School, as youth of the year as he was honored at a Boys & Girls Club dinner.
