First Christian Church to host Joani Tabor

Joani Tabor, an award winning vocalist, will perform live at First Christian Church, 2211 Mouton Drive, from 8 to 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 24.

Tabor’s voice covers four octaves. She has had 11 songs chart on the national Christian music charts. She is a winner of “Female Vocalist of the Year,” “Founders Award” and “Gold Cross Award.” She has performed in all 50 states and 37 countries worldwide.

Good Shepherd Wesleyan hosting special event Monday

Good Shepherd Wesleyan, 1505 Railroad Drive, will host “Christ in the Passover — a special event with speaker Rabbit Jack Zimmerman of Jewish Voice Ministries.” This event will display and explain the Passover Seder meal and be an excellent place to learn and understand the Messianic truths for Christ followers today from this tradition. The event is Monday. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. and the event begins at 6:30. The event will be free to anyone, but a love offering will be taken for this ministry.
