Walkaway sought by law enforcement recaptured in Reno

Inmate Ricardo Soria Valencia, 27, was recaptured at 1:45 a.m. Tuesday morning in Reno.

Reno Police Department was first on scene and took him into custody. Investigators from the Inspector General’s Office arrived and returned Valencia to the Northern Nevada Correctional Center.

Valencia was discovered missing at approximately 11:40 a.m. Sunday morning from Stewart Conservation Camp located next to Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City.

Valencia was serving 24- to 60 months for possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of a controlled substance.
