W.D. Knight, deputy United States marshal, brought down from Virginia City last evening Ah Sam, a man arrested by Sheriff Elkins of that county for selling hop to the Indians. Ah Sam was thoughtlessly his own accuser.

Plans for what may be Carson City’s largest and most successful Admission Day celebration this coming Oct. 31 were discussed last night at the courthouse. Bud Miller, current president of the Carson City Ski Club, was unanimously named Admission Day chairman.

The Nevada Wing, Civil Air Patrol, official auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, commanded by Col. Bradford L. Sharp, has been named the No. 1 Civil Air Patrol Wing in the nation.
