Commissioners: The Board of County Commissioners held its regular monthly meeting yesterday and after conducting some business, adjourned until the first Monday in January. Appointment: The County Commissioners appointed Mr. A. Lewis to superintend the water in the creeks and prevent its overflowing into the streets. A much needed measure, and a very good appointment.

The grass question: The question of where to secure grass for stock is becoming an important one in this state. The natural grasses are hardly sufficient to winter the cattle now growing in this state. Unless grass is made to grow artificially, it means that the limit of cattle production in Nevada has now been reached.

Arthur Kelly, the popular mail carrier for Uncle Sam in Carson City, and Miss Maude Baker, the young and charming daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Frank Baker, went to Reno Saturday and were married by Episcopal Rev. Samuel Upsworth. The newlyweds will remain in Reno for a few days on their honeymoon after which they will return to Carson and go to housekeeping.

Following many years of wedded life, announcement was made today that Mr. And Mrs. J.D. Austin of Carson City will celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary this coming Monday, Dec. 9.

A major storm sweeping across the western states today brought new snow and wind to the Sierra Nevada and Northern Nevada. Roads were icy, some were closed, and fierce gusts of wind were believed partly responsible for an auto accident near the state line.
