After a successful grand opening in Sparks two weeks ago, FoodMaxx offers Carson City residents a new way to save money on groceries with opening of second store in Nevada. The warehouse-style format offers shoppers more than 52,000 square feet of savings with the convenience of a neighborhood store. Carson City residents will be able to stretch their food dollar here with amazingly low prices on name brand products.
“As families plan their holiday gatherings, we hope they’ll give us a try and see how much more they get for their money by shopping at FoodMaxx,” said Frank Capps, General Manager of FoodMaxx in a press release. “We’re committed to providing our shoppers extraordinary value every time they’re in our stores. That’s our focus, and we work hard every day to deliver that.”
They will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 9:00 a.m. at 3325 Highway 50 East, Carson City.
To highlight FoodMaxx’s commitment to the community, the store will match every donation made at checkout to Ron Wood Family Resource Center during their Give.Share.Care! Holiday Drive from opening day to December 27th, up to $1,500. The store will also donate $500 to its adopted school, Empire Elementary, whose students will sing Christmas songs at Wednesday’s festivities. And Friends in Service Helping (FISH) will also receive a $500 donation.
The Grand Opening comes just as FoodMaxx celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Its first store debuted in October of 1986 in Bakersfield, CA. The brand stands 52 stores strong today throughout California; 54 when the Carson City store opens. FoodMaxx is owned and operated by The Save Mart Companies.
