Nathan Fillion, Don Goodman, Debbi Engebritson, Tawnie Black, John Walker, Kristin McClellan, and Beverly Borda have joined the staff of the Reno Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority (RSCVA) while Tasha Courtney has been promoted within the organization.
Fillion was hired as a national convention sales manager.
He has 10 years of experience, including five years as a National Sales Manager for Courtyard by Marriott Mission Valley and Kona Kai Resort and Spa in San Diego.
Goodman also was hired as a national convention sales manager.
He has more than 20 years of experience in sales, and has worked with Atlantis Resort Casino Spa, Circus Circus Reno and Eldorado Casino Resort.
Engebritson was named a marketing manager with the RSCVA.
She coordinated special events and managed marketing efforts for Circus Circus Reno for more than 30 years.
Black has assumed the duties of executive assistant to the CEO and an RSCVA Board position.
She has 32 years experience in administrative positions.
Walker was hired as marketing research manager.
Walker, who has more than 25 years experience in business management, most recently served as research analyst for Renown Health.
He earned n MBA degree in business management.
McClellan was hired as marketing and special projects specialist.
She most recently worked in interactive media and content marketing with local organizations such as Renown and Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.
Borda was named entertainment and ticket office manager.
She has more than 25 years in box office and ticket sales experience and most recently worked at Silver Legacy Resort Casino.
Courtney was promoted to sales events and conventions services manager.
She started with the RSCVA in February 2015 as its marketing and special projects specialist.
Courtney earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Nevada, Reno.
