The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada honored 27 companies that relocated to the Greater Reno-Sparks area, and welcomed its newest addition, Mishimoto Automotive, during EDAWN’s New and Expanded Companies Welcome Reception.
Mishimoto, a manufacturer of after-market cooling for the automotive industry, will move into a new approximately 53,000-square-foot facility in Spanish Springs. (NNBW will have a profile on Mishimoto coming out in the Monday, Dec. 12 edition and online at www.nnbw.com).
Mike Kazmierski, president and CEO of EDAWN, was presented with an EDAWN Coin for his five years of service to the organization and the community. Kazmierski was lauded for helping to reduce unemployment, which was at an all-time high of 25,000 when he arrived in 2011, and for bringing in numerous companies to the region.
The reception drew more than 400 attendees at the Peppermill Resort Casino Spa.
