The former Facebook page of Carson City Harley-Davidson recently changed its name to Battle Born Harley-Davidson.

On Facebook, the new owners, who have yet to identify themselves, say a deal is in the works to open the building at 2900 Research Way.

“Harley is under new Ownership...doors aren’t open as of yet, paperwork to finish. We will offer updates ASAP ...,” a reply to a comment said.

The location closed in November after the Harley-Davidson Credit Corp. filed a lawsuit against Carson City Harley-Davidson owners Roberta and Jose Richard Tapia over owing the finance corporation more than $4 million.

In a December hearing in front of Carson City District Judge James Wilson, HDCC lawyer Dan Fleming told Wilson a deal was in the works to sell the dealership and, pending a sale, the lawsuit was on hold.
