The National Parent Teacher Association is holding its annual Reflections art contest for artistic Carson City students.
The Reflections program looks to engage students and their families in arts education activities by encouraging students to explore the arts for fun and recognition.
Students are welcome to submit entries in dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts and all grades and abilities are welcome.
Students can win $50 for first place and have a chance to go to the national competition.
Students must submit their entries to the Carson High School library by 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13 with an entry form. This year’s theme is “Let your imagination fly.”
For more information contact LeAnn Saarem at saarem@sbcglobal.net and details for each of the art categories is available at carsonhigh.com under the Parents-PTSA tab.
