Average retail gasoline prices in Nevada fell 2.2 cents per gallon during the past week, according to a statewide survey of 1,130 outlets completed Sunday and released Monday.

The survey by GasBuddy.com showed the pump price was $2.49 per gallon Sunday. Nationally, the same motor fuels price-monitoring website said, the price was $1.97 per gallon and had fallen 1.8 cents over the preceding week.

In Carson City, meanwhile, a check Monday of GasBuddy.com local outlets showed the two lowest posted a price of $1.99 per gallon while the single highest outlet was at $2.49.

There were 25 outlets checked and the average was just under $2.15 a gallon.

In Nevada, including last week’s decrease, the average price on Sunday was about 15 cents per gallon higher than on the same day a year ago and just 0.4 cents higher than a month ago.
