Bob McFadden Plaza grand opening in Carson City set for July 30

Bob McFadden Plaza’s grand opening July 30 will be an all-day celebration.

The event kicks off with Kids on Big Rigs, featuring crafts, activities and a collection of big rigs for children to view, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Trippin’ King Snakes will perform at 5 p.m. followed by a celebration toast at 7 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada and Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Northern Nevada.

Bob McFadden Plaza is located at 3rd Street, between Carson and Curry streets, and is part of Carson City’s ongoing downtown corridor construction project.
