Carson City’s Nicholas “Nick” Bowler recently passed his Eagle Review to become an Eagle Scout. Bowler also earned the Arrow of Light in Cub Scouts after being a Tiger, Wolf and Bear Cub and Webelos Scout prior to crossing over and becoming a Boy Scout.

Bowler, who just returned from playing with the Reno Youth Symphony Orchestra in Carnegie Hall in New York City, was named the Top Council Salesman, all of Northern Nevada and part of Northern California, in 2009 and 2011. He helped build portions of the Tahoe Rim Trail, and during his Eagle Project he led an effort to collect more than 2,000 pounds of food for FISH.

Bowler, who has been Assistant Senior Patrol Leader twice, Troop Web Master, Bugler, Patrol Leader, is president of Venture Crew 64 in Carson City. He has earned more than 40 merit badges as a Boy Scout and has contributed well over 300 service hours to the community through scouting. He has been a member of the Order of The Arrow since 2013, along with his brother, Luke, and father, Dan.
