The following information applies to the period of June 6-12.
Work will continue on the Downtown Corridor improvement project on Carson Street. For details regarding traffic impacts from the Downtown Carson Street project, refer to the Cone Zone in the Nevada Appeal, or go to www.carsonproud.com. These sources are updated weekly throughout the duration of the project.
Lane closures with flagger controlled traffic are planned from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the following locations due to utility/road work:
Center Drive south of Clear Creek Avenue near Topsy Lane on weekdays
Lockheed Way between Convair Drive and Ryan Way on Thursday and Friday
Northridge Drive on Monday through Thursday
Road closures are expected at the following locations due to utility/road work. Drivers are asked to follow detours.
Lompa Lane between Carmine Street and College Parkway from 7 a.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday
Topsy Lane between Center Drive and U.S. 395 for all hours on Monday through Sunday; local traffic only
Race Track Road and Bigelow Drive south of Snyder Avenue for all hours on Monday through Sunday; local traffic only
Jeanell Drive between Winnie Lane and Michael Drive from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays
Anderson Street between Robinson and Caroline streets from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays
Epic Rides, a nationally known endurance bike ride, will be held in Carson City June 17-19. There will be significant impacts to traffic on Carson Street and west of downtown. Additional details on the event and impact to local roadways will be provided in the next road report.
Northbound U.S. 395 between Clear Creek and Snyder avenues will be reduced from three to two lanes until June 24.
Lane and ramp closures will take place on I-580 Carson City Freeway and U.S. 50 from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. June 6-14.
