UPDATE 2:17 p.m.: According to the Nevada Department of Wildlife, there have not been any further reports or sightings of the mountain lion.
Carl Lackey of NDOW is reminding Carson City that mountain lions can roam in city limits at any time, although it's rare.
11:46 a.m.: A mountain lion has been spotted roaming around the valley Friday morning.
The last sighting was seen at 8:15 a.m. at the Nevada Appeal Parking lot, 580 Mallory Way.
He ran off but if the lion is spotted again, call 911. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Non-Emergency Dispatch will also take calls, as well as the Carson City Parks and Recreation Department.
