Meadows Bank will open its newest branch at 50 W. Liberty St. in early October, establishing a strong presence in downtown Reno with its second location in Northern Nevada.
“The place for a community bank is at the center of the community, and the corner of South Virginia and Liberty streets is at the heart of Reno and Sparks,” said Dennis Williams, Northern Nevada Regional President of Meadows Bank in a press release.
Downtown, Midtown, and the Financial District converge at the location of the new branch, which also is convenient for the growing number of residents of downtown and Midtown neighborhoods, Williams said.
The 4,900-square-foot branch, previously occupied by a national financial institution, will provide full commercial and personal banking services. It will employ five.
“Meadows Bank will be the only community bank serving the heart of Reno,” Williams said. “We look forward to building relationships with new customers. Meadows Bank is well-known for the accessibility of its executive leadership and its diligent, expedient handling of customer requests.”
Pinecrest Construction & Development, a family-owned Reno business, has overseen tenant improvements at the downtown location. The bank leased the location from Basin Street Properties, the Reno company that owns 50 West Liberty.
The bank will continue to headquarter its Northern Nevada operations at 6518 South McCarran Blvd. Ten banking professionals staff the regional headquarters. Howard Bennett manages that branch.
Meadows Bank entered the Reno market in 2012, and its operations in the region have unfailingly exceeded its targets for growth in deposits and loans each year.
Founded in Las Vegas in 2008, Meadows Bank also operates Nevada locations at Pahrump and Henderson.
