The City of Reno has organized a temporary special event that will allow crafters to set up on the The Riverwalk District this summer during the months of July and August.

The crafters event starts this Wednesday, July 1, and will run seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Times and days are subject to change, however, depending on demand and previously scheduled special events.

The City of Reno’s goal is to allow creatives who work in the craft arena such as jewelry, wearable art, and functional ceramics to show and sell their original work on The Riverwalk during Artown and beyond.

The crafters will need to obtain a temporary vendor permit for $15 for the season from the Business License Division to be in the event venue, which is first-come-first-served. City staff will mark out at least two dozen locations of the same size for the crafters to locate. The work shown must be original, not mass-produced, and sold by the crafter (not a representative).
