The largest student-professional networking event on any college campus in the United States takes place on Thursday, March 10 at the University of Nevada, Reno.
An expected room full of 1,000 student leaders will shake hands and talk to over 200 business and community leaders in an event designed to teach students the finer points of networking, then practice what they learned in real conversations. The event is coordinated by UNR’s Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life and Greek Ladders, a local company which connects employers with young professional talent. They’ve collaborated with UNR’s College of Business Administration, Young Alumni Chapter, and Nevada Greek Alumni Council, as well as the Reno-Tahoe Young Professionals Network.
“We teamed up to create unique opportunity to showcase the University’s quality young talent and our community’s future leaders,” says Pete Parker, founder and director of Greek Ladders. “Industry leaders can meet with future professionals, business executives can seek their next hires, and community activists can recruit young volunteers.”
The 2nd Annual Nevada Networking Night will be held in the Fourth Floor Ballrooms at the University of Nevada’s Joe Crowley Student Union from 5:30pm-7:00pm. All business and community leaders are invited to participate in the free event. RSVPs are being taken through the Greek Ladders website, located at www.GreekLadders.com.
