The annual Seismological Society of America meeting is being held in Reno, April 20-22 at the Peppermill Resort Hotel and presents a unique opportunity to hold a first-of-a-kind Earthquake Economic Resiliency Forum for the California-Nevada border region. The goal of this Forum is to explore the common earthquake hazards within this bi-state region, but more importantly, how to begin to plan for greater economic resilience in the face a catastrophic ground motion event.
