Nevada gaming regulators Tuesday said the state’s casinos kept nearly $831 million of what was gambled in June but the amount was down about 8 percent compared with a year ago when licensees reported a win of $906.8 million.
The Nevada Gaming Board reported that for the fiscal year ending June 30, casino gambling revenue dropped 1.6 percent statewide.
Washoe County, including Reno, dropped slightly compared to a year ago. Operators in the Biggest Little City said the win was $63.3 million, down from $63.8 million during the same month in 2014. However, the take year to date is up 2.69 for Reno licensees.
The Carson Valley area posted a 4 percent increase year-over year. Gambling revenue on the Las Vegas Strip fell 16 percent to $445, the state reported.
