A U.S. Department of Agriculture official will announce over $13 million in repair work to Storey County wastewater collection systems at a Tuesday event. USDA Rural Development Undersecretary Lisa Mensah will detail more information in a funding announcement at the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center McCarran Government Center, 1705 Peru Drive. According to a news release, the communities of Virginia City and Gold Hill will be able to rehabilitate old and dilapidated sewage systems across Storey County with more than 13 miles of sewer pipe, 300 manholes, and a lift station with funding recently approved by USDA Rural Development.
