Anna Durst has been named CEO of the Board of Directors of the Nevada Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Durst replaces Sharon Uithoven who has retired after serving more than 30 years in the position.
Durst, a licensed CPA who served several years as a volunteer for the board, previously served as past president of the Reno Chapter and on the statewide board of directors. She recently completed her term as 2015-2016 Society president.
She also worked for Somersett Golf & Country Club, serving the past several years as CFO and general manager.
Jeff Cooper, who works for Bradshaw Smith & Company in Las Vegas with clients in northern Nevada, was elected 2016-2017 chairman of the board for the NSCPA.
Cooper has served on the board for many years and received the 2015 Nevada Society of CPAs Public Service Award for his commitment to the profession and the community.
