Antonia Polan and Camille Ruja have been named Lady Bighorns dance team co-directors for the Reno Bighorns basketball club.
Polan, who is returning from the 2013-14 season, spent four seasons as a Gold Rush dancer for the San Francisco 49ers. She has also has danced with the California Ballet Academy, the Oakland Ballet, San Francisco’s ODC, Chico Dance Theater and HYPE Dance Studio. As a Gold Rush member, she represented the 49ers as a 2013 Pro Bowl Cheerleader.
Ruja previously was a Sacramento Kings dancer. While attending college at California State University, Chico, she danced for CSUC Expressions Dance Team, Hype Dance Studio’s Fusion College Jazz and took part in various hip-hop competition teams, as well as directed and choreographed for Chico Dance.
Ruja studied dance kinesiology at the CSUC.
