Bob Roper has been named administrator of the Nevada Division of Forestry in the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
He will join the Division on Feb. 2, succeeding Pete Anderson, who retired.
Roper previously was fire chief of Ventura County, California, for 15 years. He currently is chairman of the International Association of Fire Chief’sWildland Fire Policy Committee,
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Redlands.
