Brian Morris has been named president of American Mining and Tunneling LLC. He will be based in the company’s Winnemucca office.
Morris, who has more than 24 years of experience in the mining industry, previously was vice-president of exploration for Premier Gold Mines Limited. He has also worked for several mining companies and their subsidiaries, including Hecla Mining Co., Barrick Gold Corp. and Newmont Mining Corp.
Morris earned a bachelors’ degree in geology from Humboldt State University.
