Gil Yanuck of AARP has been named chairman of the board of the Carson City Chamber of Commerce.
He succeeds Lisa Strurgis, a Wells Fargo executive who accepted a job with the bank in Seattle.
Joyce Whitney-Silva, chief financial officer of Greater Nevada Credit Union, has been named secretary-treasurer of the board.
Hellen Barclay of Wells Fargo has been named to succeed Sturgis on the board of directors, and Chet Burton, vice president of finance at Western Nevada College, was named to succeed Dr. Carol Lucey of WNC on the board. Lucey is retiring from the college.
