Dean K. Rubin, Scott Kidd and David Zamarin have been added to the leadership team at John Ascuaga’s Nugget.
Rubin was named vice president of hotel operations.
He was most recently director of hotel operations at the Avi Resort & Casino in Laughlin, Nev. He was also general manager of Balmoral Park Racetrack in Crete, Ill., and general manager for one of the largest hotels in downtown Chicago.
Rubin earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northeastern University.
Kidd was named vice president of food and beverage.
Kidd, who has 35 years experience in the hospitality industry, previously worked as director of food and beverage for Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa, Fla. He also held positions at Turning Stone Resort & Casino, Thunder Valley Resort & Casino and Barona Valley Ranch Resort & Casino.
He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y.
Zamarin was named executive vice president of marketing.
Tachi Palace Hotel Casino in California, where he was the head of Marketing.
Zamarin has more than 25 years of marketing, marketing research and management experience. He previously held senior management positions at property and corporate level for Penn National Gaming, Showboat, Harrah’s and the Peppermill Hotel Casino in Reno. He also owned a marketing and marketing research consulting business for more than 20 years.
Zamarin earned a Ph.D. in experimental and social psychology from the University of Southern California.
