Granite starts job

Granite Construction Company has begun work on an estimated $8.3 million project Reno Tahoe International Airport.

Granite will reconstruct and reposition Taxiway C and perform reconstruction on connectors. The project will include demolition and removal of the existing Vehicle Service Road, subgrade preparation, placement of an aggregate base, cement and asphalt as well as electrical and signage improvements. A new junction structure for storm drainage will be added. Construction is scheduled to be complete by January 2016.
