Helvécio C. Mota has joined Saint Mary’s Center for Cancer as a physicist.
Mota previously was chief medical physicist at the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Carolinas Medical Center in Concord, N.C. He also held positions at the Pitt County Memorial Hospital at Greenville, N.C., and was associate professor at East Carolina University.
Mota graduated from the Institute of Biophysics at UFRJ Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and completed his post doctorate studies in radiation therapy physics at Roswell Park Cancer Institute at Buffalo, N.Y.
