Joe Diver has been hired as vice president of food and beverage for the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino.
Diver, who has more than 25 years experience managing food and beverage operations, started his career as a chef working in Trump Castle, Merv Griffin’s Resorts and Atlantic City Resorts International. He opened Hollywood Casino in Aurora, Ill., where he also worked as both chef and director of food and beverage. He later became food and beverage director at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago. In 2004, Diver served as the vice president of food and beverage during the construction and opening of Cache Creek Casino Resort and was a part of the opening team at the recently opened Red Hawk Casino in California.
Diver attended the University of Delaware and is a graduate of the Academy of Culinary Arts in New Jersey.
