Kenneth Collum has been named acting district manager for the Bureau of Land Management’s Winnemucca District for up to 120 days.
Collum will replace William Mack, who has been acting in the role since November of last year, and will return to his permanent position as the Field Manager for the Black Rock Field Office
Collum has been the field manager for the Eagle Lake Field Office in Susanville, which is a part of the Northern California District, since 2010. He joined the BLM in 2003 as a geologist and realty specialist for the Surprise Field Office and has served in acting field manager roles for several BLM field offices throughout California. Collum also was an exploration manager and geologist throughout the Western states including Colorado and Nevada and in Central and South America.
Collum graduated from California State University Fresno with a bachelor’s degree in economic geology.
