Skau
Mary Skau has been hired as communications manager for Immunize Nevada, a nonprofit that promotes immunizations and community education and statewide collaboration.
Skau, who has eight years experience communications management, most recently served as the community benefit liaison for Renown Health. She also served as a casework manager and a regional representative for the Office of U.S. Senator Harry Reid and served as a legislative intern at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte.
She earned her Master of Public Administration and Policy, as well has her bachelor’s degree in journalism, from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she was also a member of Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society. After studying abroad at the Universidad Andres Bello in 2008, Skau served her internship with the 2010 FIFA World Cup in Cape Town, South Africa.
