Natalie Brown, Ph.D., director of academic advisement, transfer center and international student advising services at Truckee Meadows Community College, has received the WESTOP TRiO Achievers Award.
WESTOP, the acronym for the Western Association of Educational Opportunity Personnel, promotes educational opportunities for first-generation and low-income students, and for students with disabilities. Its TRiO Achievers Award is presented to professionals who have completed their undergraduate degree, are now employed in an education-related field and are active volunteering in the community.
