Peter Reed has been named director of the Sanford Center for Aging and professor of Community Health Sciences at the University of Nevada, Reno, Division of Health Sciences.
Reed previously served as chief executive officer of the Pioneer Network in Chicago. He also served as adjunct associate professor at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at the University of California at Davis, served as president and CEO of the Center for Health Improvement in Sacramento and was senior director of programs for the Alzheimer’s Association national office.
Reed received a doctorate and master’s degree in public health from the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also a graduate of the University of Kentucky.
